Those of you who frequent the Go Navy Go website probably remember that back in September 2009 I participated in the U.S. Navy’s Leaders to Sea program aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. Naturally, this ship holds a special place for me. I recently read an article about its deployment to the Red Sea after a yearlong maintenance and update program. This work included improved communications between crew and family members to help ease the rigors of deployment. I hope you enjoy it too!
